Custom Charter Details

We are here to guide you on your Maine sailing adventure.

Are custom charters available?

Yes! There is so much to explore in our area and we’d love to work with you to design the perfect charter to fit your needs and desires.

Are charters family-friendly?

You bet! Sailors of all ages are welcome, keeping in mind that children should have adult supervision at all times. We supply life jackets for all on board and please be aware that the USCG (United States Coast Guard) requires that children aged twelve and under, wear a PFD (personal flotation device or life jacket) at all times when outside on the boat.

Can we explore off the boat?

Yes! The beauty of the custom cruise means we can drop anchor, and dinghy you to secluded coves or secret island quarries. In the mood for a beach picnic and evening fire? We can make that happen too.

What should I bring?

You are welcome to bring anything with you. We’ll provide some beverages and light snacks. Please let us know if there are any food allergies. If you would like suggestions for local take-out or if you would prefer a fully catered charter, we are happy to take care of all of that for you. We have a fridge, oven, and stovetop on board as well as cups, plates, utensils, wine and bottle openers, and napkins for you. Dressing in layers is a good idea as Maine’s temperature can vary dramatically by time of day. It’s typically calm in the morning but sometimes breezy in the afternoon. Make sure to bring a sweatshirt or jacket, sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats, along with comfortable, light-soled, non-slip shoes. We do have a few blankets on board to cozy up in as the wind or evening chill sets in.

Who else is on the boat, other than our group?

All our charters are private. Captain Jack and a First Mate will be onboard. Skiff adventure runs on Coconut do not require a First Mate.

What happens in inclement weather?

Our charters generally run in light rain and other moderate weather situations. We will only cancel due to severe or unsafe weather conditions (very rare) and will, of course, do our best to reschedule.

Where do we sleep?

Our sailboat, Luna, sleeps 7. It has two private sleeping berths, (The V-berth up front, and an Aft cabin, under the cockpit) Each berth sleeps two, comfortably. The dinette in the salon also converts to a large bed. The bench across from the dinette converts to a single bed.

Aboard Maple, our trawler, 8 people can sleep comfortably. The Aft Cabin has a double and a single bed. The V berth sleeps 2. The dinette, 2 and the bench, 1. Maple has two heads (bathrooms) on board, one in each cabin.
